Time Breakdown (60 minutes total)

1. Welcome & Introduction (5 min)

• Quick overview of Canva and what participants will learn.

• Show a few finished examples (social media post, flyer, mockup).

2. Getting Started with Canva (10 min)

• Create/login to Canva account.

• Walk through the interface: dashboard, templates, recent designs.

• Explain free vs. Pro version.

3. Core Features & Tools (15 min)

• Text: fonts, styles, color changes.

• Elements: shapes, icons, graphics.

• Photos: Canva library vs. uploading your own.

• Layout basics: resizing, aligning, grouping, duplicating.

• Backgrounds & color palettes.

4. Hands-On Project (15 min)

• Step-by-step guided design:

  • Pick a template.

  • Customize text, colors, and images.

  • Add elements/icons.

  • Save/download in PNG/JPG/PDF.

5. Wrap-Up (5 min)

• Recap main skills.

• Highlight where to learn more (Canva tutorials, Pro features, animations, brand kits).

6. Questions & Answers (15 min)

• Open floor for participants to ask.

• Troubleshoot live if possible (e.g., “how do I crop an image?”).

• Encourage them to share what they want to create.
